Will the Warriors Make a Trade?

At noon today, the NBA’s trading deadline will pass. My concern lies on whether my team — the Golden State Warriors — will make a move and change up their roster with new additions or will stand pat and keep their current group of guys together.

This date during the NBA season is usually interesting to watch. Big name superstars move to title contenders (i.e. Shaq, Jason Kidd, Pau Gasol) while the bad teams get even worse. The Western Conference is loaded with teams that are winning way more than they’re losing. I’m hoping that the Warriors will stand pat and push to the playoffs with what they already have in their possession. Their personel is filled with a bunch of scrappy guys who have heart and pure speed and athleticism on the court. It was on full display last night as they beat the best team in the league last night in the Boston Celtics.

I don’t know what Chris Mullin and Nellie have up their sleeves before noon passes, but I know that whatever they end up doing will be best for my hometown’s franchise.

Ahh. I’ve got class in a bit. I think I’m going to be late just because I had to get this entry up before noon. By the time I get back, I know the Warriors will still be an exciting team to watch for years to come.

Warriors Win; I’m Happy Again

Finally.

The school week is over and my basketball team has finally broken into the win column. Woohoo!

Ever since the three day holiday, my workload has gone bonkers. I’ve been feeling a bit stressed but I’m glad the storm has finally calmed down for the time being. Some big-time projects and essays are looming right after Thanksgiving break so I’ll have to manage my time well if I plan on getting things done on time and feeling more relaxed the night before they’re due. (Maybe then, I’ll have time to sit down and blog more often)

I really want to come home for the weekend even though my break is only four days long. Finding a ride is hard to come by. I’m hoping my roommate keeps my hope alive if he plans on driving back up on Wednesday afternoon and dropping off his girlfriend in Mountain View. Then I could probably take BART home from there. I’m crossing my fingers. It’s about time I headed back to the Bay Area. I’ve been missing it for awhile now.

What’s Happening to the Warriors?

My Golden State Warriors are slumping to 0-4. Is it a good thing that I?m not back at home to watch every single minute of my favorite basketball team?s play during the new 2007-2008 NBA season?

Even though I?m all the way down here in SoCal, I?m trying to keep up with whatever is happening to the Warriors. All I see is Lakers Lakers Lakers on TV and I don?t care a single bit about Kobe or whatever is happening with his trade rumors.

I subscribe to RSS feeds from the Contra Costa Times and SF Gate?s coverage on the team so that keeps me up to date with everything that?s going on in Oakland. When games are going on live and I can?t watch it anywhere, I resort to listening to the radio online at NBA.com.

I?m really hoping that things start to get better for the Warriors. I?ve been through the team?s depressing and almost unwatchable years since I began following them in the 4th grade. What they were able to accomplish during the playoffs last season awakened the basketball fan base in the Bay Area. I don?t care if people just jumped on the ?We Believe? bandwagon. I?m a Golden State Warrior fan for life.
